Photoshop Tutorial - Creating a Frame in Photoshop CS
A Simple Way To Create Frames For Photos In Photoshop CS First, open a photo in Photoshop - How about a 300 pound, 40 year old Silverback Gorilla? (I seem to have a 'thing' for these bad boys lately...) Or, if you're feeling tame, a listing photo you'd like to use on a flyer or brochure.
Then, click on Image>Canvas size
Then, in the drop down box, choose 'pixels' Width and Height fill in '50' Leave 'Relative' checked Leave 'other' as-is. And 'Canvas Color' as Black (click on the black box to change the color) Click OK Your photo should now look like this:
Now, follow the same steps again, making these changes: (note the change to 'white' in the color box!) You should now have something looking like this:
OK, one more time, and change the settings as seen below: Click OK, and save your photo!
Now that you have the basics, experiment with different size frames by adjusting the numbers (remember the two numbers for each step, width and height, should match), and different color frames by changing the color within the box. Have fun! ... more
