Natural First Aid Remedies

With the return of the warm weather, many of us will be enjoying the outdoors often.  Before applying costly creams or sprays to soothe your bites, rashes and burns, try some of these cheaper and greener first aid tips from authors Graham and Rosemary Haley:1.  To soothe your first stubborn sunburn of the summer, apply a mix of a whipped egg and a teaspoon of castor oil.  Or, add a handful of baking soda to a bathtub of warm water and soak in it for awhile.
2.  For those pesky mosquito bites, apply vinegar on a cotton ball to the itchy area.
3.  Beat bee stings by applying a paste of baking soda and water to the affected area.
4.  Reduce discomfort from poison ivy by rubbing the inside of a banana peel on the rash.  It should reduce the irritation witin a few days.
