ActiveRain Setting The Bar?

A couple days ago, Brad Andersohn posted about the new Ambassador program ActiveRain is implementing. The ActiveRain ambassador program is designed to engage new people to use the network. Ambassadors are asked to help newbies with the learning curve, and hopefully increase A|R's activity.
Currently, according to the A|R staff, only about 8% of A|R's members are active in the community. In other social networks, they would probably send you a bunch of spam email to try and get their membership more active. Not A|R, oh no, ActiveRain has raised the bar. 
How Is ActiveRain Setting The Bar?
Let's take a look at other social networks, and compare them to ActiveRain for your business.
Facebook: Facebook is a great way to connect with friends and family that you have lost touch with. You can send invites to your friend network, but does Facebook pay you for your referrals? No, they don't. ActiveRain's ambassador program has some kickbacks. These kickbacks aren't to hard sell new customers, rather, it's A|R's way of saying thank you for building a great community.
