Moving when everybody else is celebrating the holidays is no fun. Here are some suggestions that could help those of you buying in December cope with moving at a time that is incredibly busy:
Get the utilities turned on or switched to your name before you move. Moving in the cold isn't festive. Keep the holiday decorations readily available. Having a few items to display will make the transition more pleasant. Taking a walk around the neighborhood and enjoying other people's decorations can make you feel more at home. Holidays are all about friends and family. Invite them to see your new home - even if it is still in a state of chaos.
