Local San Diego, Ca Residents Will Be Singing Happy Trails to Police Horse Partrol Unit.
Due to budget cuts the 15 year old horseback patrol unit that has been so popular with the citizens of San Diego, Ca will be disband come January 2010.
Many on lookers would enjoy seeing the patrol unit on horseback  patrolling the Balboa Park community. This economical maneuver by the City of San Diego will save $243,000.
These Police Officers will be reassigned to other areas of San Diego. An auction is to be held to sell off equipment and other items associated with this branch of the San Diego police force.
The horse back patrol was establish back in the early 1980's for the safety and protection of the citizens that enjoyed Balboa Park and to ward off criminal activies that were out of control.
