Are Property Managers Hired To Do God's Work or Dirty Work?
I got a call from a prospective client this weekend.  She told me that she was tired of chasing late rents and needed someone to do it for her.  I got the feeling that she was not good at this aspect of property managment, probably too forgiving. 
I got to thinking about that.  Am I just the hired gun that does whatever it takes to make a property work?  Then the owner can go on with their life ignoring the fact that they just hired a mean guy to take care of business.
Then I recalled who the first property manager was, according to King James Bible.  It was God!  He evicted Satan for breaking the rules up in heaven.  Then he evicted that nice couple named Adam and Eve from Eden. Again, they broke the rules.
Both of these tenants lived in luxury yet God evicted them without ceremony or regret.  He did what was necessary to enfore His rules. 
Now God being all knowing did not have to hire a property manager to do His business.  He also did not have to deal with all the laws currently on the books.
