Just Do the Right Thing - To err is human, to say I am sorry, divineNo, I am not talking about a Spike Lee movie .  I am talking about when you screw up, own up and do your best to fix it. Most people are very forgiving of us when we make a mistake, but first we need to be contrite, apologize, and show true efforts to make it right.The letter below is what prompted me to blog this.  A few months back I called Maytag about my Jenn-Air refrigerator.  Yes I was one of the foolish ones that bought a Jenn-Air fridge in the 2 months they were making them.  Anyway, I called based on a news report which spoke of a re-call.  At the time I read them my model and serial number and they told me, not-to-worry, my model is not affected.  A couple of days ago I got the letter below in the mail.  I ask myself, what has changed since my phone call to them.   Though I can't be sure, I suspect they only thing that is different since I first phoned them is TOYOTA.  The world has seen how Toyota has mishandled their ... more
