February 2010 Omaha Real Estate Market Report for Sarpy county.  February 2010 is off to a good start.  Active listings are up compared to February 2009. February 2010 active listings were 881, compared to February 2009 active listings of 819 an increase of 8%.  Sold listings for February 2010 increased from January 2010, but are flat compared to February 2010. 
The increase in active listings is not a surprise.  Spring is around the corner and the best time to sell a home is now through July. The race is on for home buyers and sellers to take advantage of the federal tax credit offered to home buyers.
