A Dog's Purpose
These words were passed on to me from a very dear one, and while part of it I remember reading in the past with the forwarded emails, this one also had new parts in it for me as well. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

A Dog's Purpose? (from a 6-year-old).Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine aten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. Thedog's owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boyShane, were all very attached to Belker, and theywere hoping for a miracle.I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer.I told the family we couldn't do anything for Belker,and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure forthe old dog in their home.As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told methey thought it would be good for six-year-old Shaneto observe the procedure. They felt as though Shanemight learn something from the experience.The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throatas Belker 's family surrounded him.
