Take Time to Stop and Smell the . . . Hay?
Well, we're four days shy of spring -- but the weather was so glorious today I just had to get outside.  And when I do that, I need to have my camera handy, because we often forget how much natural beauty there is around us.
I live in suburban Philadelphia -- central Montgomery County.  One of the things that makes this area so wonderful is its proximity to Philadelphia.  But also how it retains, in many places, its rural charm.  This farm is located on the north side of Valley Forge Road in Worcester Township.  How many times I have whizzed by in my car without every stopping to look at the beauty of the hay rolls in the field.

Just think -- in a month or so all the trees will be green again!
For my photography friends, here is the same picture processed in black and white.  It certain evokes different feelings, no?  The textures are so much more palpable in black and white.

I hope all of my local friends enjoyed this wonderful day -- and I hope all of my other friends had as nice a day as we did!
