I wanted to share some local historical information about my home town of Farmingdale New York.  This house is not for sale, but there are other gems in Farmingdale NY.  The history of Long Island NY was originally occupied by Native Americans. One of the first settlers Thomas Powell, purchased land from local Natives in 1695 which we now know as Bethpage, Farmingdale, Old Bethpage, Plainedge, Plainview and Melville - all located on Long Island NY. 
As far as who maintains and owns the property, the Long Island Historical Society was last listed. Another resource to use is the Farmingdale - Bethpage Historical Society.
