Jackson Park, Neighborhood Spirit Personified in Milwaukee
 
 
 
  The Jackson Park area personifies neighborhood spirit with a great friendly atmosphere and lots of activities that turn neighbors into friends…waves into handshakes.  Geographically, it is located about six miles south of downtown Milwaukee  defined as  bordered by 35th Street on the east,   43rd Street   on the west, Morgan Avenue on the south to  Lincoln Avenue on the north.  Milwaukee city employees are required to live within the city limits and many neighbors are police officers and fire fighters.
   The neighborhood was “born” early in the 20th century and residents take pride in  maintaining their homes and the landscape with colorful gardens throughout the area a prevalent sight.
    Neighbors can choose to participate in a variety of events sponsored by the neighborhood association throughout the year. The neighborhood association sponsors an Easter egg hunt, Halloween Party, Tree lighting ceremony and clean up activities at the park.  There are other contests as well…one of our buyers is the proud recipient of the chili making competition.  The neighborhood has it’s website as well for all news and events that can be shared.
