Paia Maui HI - get to know the neighborhoods - Kuau Bayview

If you're familiar with the north shore of Maui then you probably already know about this neighborhood, Kuau Bayview.  It was developed in the 1990's on the mauka side of Hana Highway, and the first homes were sold in the summer of 1996 for about $200,000 - $250,000.  The development was done by A&B Hawaii.  It consists of about 90 single family homes in Phase I.  We don't know when phase II will happen, but it will extend this subdivision further mauka.
What is Kuau Bayview like?  Most homes are 3BD/2BA with an attached garage and about 1,200 -1,500 sf of interior space. One and 2 stories.  There are some 4BD/3BA homes.  Ohanas are not allowed in Kuau Bayview.  Lot sizes are about 6,500 sf, give or take 500 sf.  There are sidewalks and paved driveways!  Those sidewalks will take you right into downtown Paia in about 2 blocks.

YES, you can see Paia bay from here.  In fact, some homes have white water views and you can check the surf before heading to the beach.  Homes with ocean views will bring a higher sale price.
