There are Some Parts of Property Management that I REALLY Enjoy!!! Keeping in Touch!
After "rent collection time" between the 1st and the 5th * the 10th and the 30th are my FAVORITE times of my property management month.  The 10th and the 30th are the two times that I send out net owner disbursements and while I do offer to mail deposits to their bank and e-mail their financial statement, I REALLY enjoy taking the time to write notes on their financial reports about the property, the residents or neighborhood if they have actually lived in the property. One of the reasons I have resisted doing ACH * automatic clearing house * electronic deposits and posting my PROMAS ( www.promas.com) statements on my HERO (www.homerentals.net) website is that I do enjoy writing these notes.
 

I can remember 30+ years ago before there were specialized property management software programs and I worked for a large property manager in Santa Rosa, CA, they spent thou$and$ of dollar$ having special programs written that printed on HUGE track-feed printers and I begged for a space * just lines really * where I could write to the owners and personalize the statements.  This request went by the wayside as the accounting department struggled with these "special made" ... more
