Second Run of our new office Grocery Co-Op today......you should start one in your community too!
Today I am doing our second run of our office group Grocery Co-Op.
You're probably wondering what is is, right?
Well, what I've done is start an office co-op where everyone who participates pays $20, and then I take the money to the downtown grocers district and buy some fresh produce at wholesale restaurant prices.
Not only is it a great way to save tons of money, but I do not buy any meat, just produce.  So we're not only creating a healthy channel for good food, but we're saving that many more animals from being subject to abuse of the commercialized slaughtering of animals.
Everyone brings in their re-usable grocery bags and we divide up everything equally.  You get so much food for that $20 that alot of people in our office split it between two people and they each pay $20.
Some of the items we get include Avocados, Spinach, Apples, Broccoli, Zucchini, Cucumbers, Cashews, Almonds, Bell Peppers, and much more.
An example of pricing:  when bought by the case, we get extra-large Haas Avacados for about $.25 cents each
