Today I Had Lunch With An Active Rain Colleague. RE-BLOG
There is an Arabian Proverb that says: "When a door opens not to your knock, consider your reputation."
If a door opens for me in the Mission area, now I can rest assured knowing that, the customer I referred, and my reputation, will both be looked after by Terry Chenier. 
Like Terry, I understand the importance of having a niche and don't try to be an "Everywhere Specialist".
I'm RE-BLOGGING this post by Terry to make two recommendations to AR members.
Consider defining your niche and becoming a specialist. Because all real estate is local, being a neighbourhood specialist adds focus, advantages and value for your customers.
Secondly, get to know who you can be comfortable with protecting your reputation before referring.

Some time ago, an associated on Active Rain phoned me
because he had read my profile and wanted to do a post on me.
I was flattered of course, and told him to go ahead. Since then,
he joined my group and we corresponded several times, and today, we
