Joanne Ussery Loves Her Comfy 127 Foot Boeing 727
Joanne was looking for a new mobile home to put next to the lake when her brother-in-law, an air traffic controller, had an unorthodox suggestion. After losing her last home to a fire, this time Ms. Ussery, a hairdresser, decided on something fireproof...  A 127 foot Boeing 727!  She paid $2,000 for the fuselage, $4,000 for a house-moving company to move it to her lot, six months and $25,000 to renovate it. The original airplane fold-down stairs were kept and are operated by a garage door opener and one of the original airplane restrooms still works as it always did. And the cockpit suspended over the lake below? Her own personal jacuzzi of course.
