South Kingstown Farmers Market at Kingston RI 02881 at URI's East Farm is Open for the spring/summer season.  It is easily accessible off of Rte. 108 at URI's East Farm just a mile down  from the Rte. 108 & Rte. 138 intersection.  Open every Saturday from 8:30 am to noon through October you enter an outdoor market (rain or shine) that has all natural, native, homegrown or homemade items to tempt you.  Yesterday my trek there was for great tomato plants and they were in abundance...i found over 15 different varieties to choose from!  Personally, roma tomato plants were for me because they cook up so well in a sauce.            With over 25 vendors at peak times of the Farmers Market season in Kingston, you will find everything from explosive plants , unusual & exotic shrubs & trees, local honey, natural beauty products, local veggies & fruits, homemade breads & pies, organically grown items from eggs to yams, oysters from Narragansett Bay, etc.  It is a destination Farmers Market that is close to my heart .  I've been going to the South Kingstown Farmers Market since I was in college at URI so supporting locally grown produce ... more
