Havertown PA overnight work on Eagle Road
Overnight work to lay pipe under Eagle Road
As part of the ongoing cleanup of the Havertown PCP Superfund Site, EPA will lay pipe under Eagle Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 8, 9 and 10, from the parking lot of the former Philadelphia Gum Company to the EPA’s groundwater treatment facility.

The work will be done overnight because of traffic and safety issues. Eagle Road will temporarily be reduced to one lane of traffic and/or a change in the traffic pattern. There will be flaggers at the site during the work to direct traffic. The road will be fully open during the day.

This work is the last phase of an ongoing construction project at the Havertown PCP Superfund Site. EPA anticipates that the construction work will be completed by the end of June with restoration work to continue after that for a few weeks. The cleanup work will enable greater capture of the contaminated groundwater, followed by treatment at the existing groundwater treatment facility.
