$4,000 Grant Available For Santa Clarita First-Time Homebuyers
The Southland Regional Association of Realtors (SRAR) announced today that they will begin to accept applications from first-time homebuyers in Santa Clarita and the San Fernando Valley for a $4,000 grant. Qualifying first-time homebuyers for this grant must be "Public Safety Responders," which includes: Police Officers, Sheriffs, Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians, and California Highway Patrol.
The $4,000 grant money comes from the California Association of Realtors Housing Affordability Fund (HAF).
The are some requirements for the grant money, as well as income limitations.
Applicant must be a first-time homebuyer, as defined by the State of California. Applicant must use a Realtor member of the Southland Regional Association of Realtors in the purchase of their home through the close of escrow. Applicant must be an employee of a fire department, police department, or paramedic unit within the city of Los Angeles, Santa Clarita, or San Fernando, or the California Highway Patrol and must provide evidence of such employment.
