Mortgage rates are at the lowest point since 1971.  That is the lowest rate since Freddie Mac began tracking rates in April of 1971.  Wow!
Per the Marietta Daily Journal, the average rate for a 30-year fixed loan fell to 4.69 percent, down from 4.75 percent the previous week.  That is a mind boggling number.  Couple this with some of the lowest home prices I've seen in years and you have a perfect storm for home buyers.
