Kauai, HI Receives "Best Island" Award from "Travel & Leisure"
Kaua`i was named Hawaii's best island for the 2nd year in a row by readers of Travel & Leisure magazine, according to the Kaua`i Visitors Bureau (KVB).
The island also ranked 2nd on the magazine's list of World's Best Islands for 2010. This is a "tremendous opportunity" from a "public relations standpoint, " said KVB's executive director Sue Kanoho. "It can often be the nudge that some people may need to book Kaua`i..."
According to the KVB press release, the magazine awards this honor after receiving reader surveys based on rating five island qualities: activities & sights, natural attractions, restaurants & food, and people. For those of who live here, we know the people are wonderful . . . waterfalls & rainbows abound . . . the Na Pali Coast & Waimea Canyon offer magnificent panoramas . . . and so much more.
