Soci@l, the eBook
I have been slow to join people on the social media marketing bandwagon for my business.  I typically use face to face networking through BNI and some chambers, farming my database of closed clients, as well as business to business relationship building.  I always thought that using facebook is a nice way keep communication with friends, and let them know you are still in business.  I never thought that social media had the potential that it does to revolutionize the way we network and do business.  What I failed to see is that you first need to position yourself as the online guru, or as its stated in the book Soci@l, "a digital introduction to consumers is about placing your product or service in an online context that's remarkable."  Then use the social media marketing tools to blow that up so that all can see.
I currently use two sources of online lead generation, and I purchase leads from those companies.  They advertise all over the internet and, I recently found out, even in social media such as facebook.  So I began to dabble in face book ads myself, just to test the waters.  In two days my link and name ... more
