Oncor has an Energy Efficiency Program that is designed to encourage the installation of energy-efficiency measures in homes and small commercial businesses in the areas served by Oncor in the North Texas area.
Literally hundreds of dollars per year escape through cracks around your doors, windows and other openings in your home. When doors and windows are not sealed properly, conditioned air leaks out, making heating and cooling systems work harder.
Oncor has a list of qualified service providers on its Web site ( www.oncor.com/efficiency). This program is funded through a small charge to retail electric providers and is open to most residents of the Oncor service area. Improvements such as caulking, weather-stripping and minor repairs to prevent air leaks may be provided at little or no cost.
