Many Manny Memories. What is Your Favorite Memory of Laurie?
When I found about the all-too-soon passing of Laurie Manny first thing this morning, my heart dropped seemingly to the floor below me. My mind raced with a mulitude of thoughts and the ever common question of, "Why?"
While my soul felt like it had just been hijacked by a looming darkness eclipsing any light, the saving grace I found was in the posts and outpouring of comments in her honor and memory. Still deeply saddened, I thought of all the memories I had of Laurie and her contributions ... not only to this forum but to my own life.
It wasn't all that long ago when I was a fresh newbie in these parts and would mix in with the occasional off the wall posts between Mortgage Posts. Yes, I did write about Real Estate pretty consistently at one point. Well, there was one particular eve when I was feeling a bit "edgy" and off the wall and decided to play a little self-deprecating prank. Without going into specifics, the post led to me being banished from the forum. The talk among the high-ups at the time was that the banishment would be permanent.
