Stormy Weather
Sometimes when it rains, it pours!  Saturday afternoon, I'm sitting at the Real Estate office.  I was on floor and was about to call it a day.  My husband called to tell me the roof of the garage blew off.  Honestly, I thought he was being silly.  (He likes to do that occasionally and tell overly tall tales - like it rained so much the cars floated away)  OK, so the roof blew off - what else?  The back patio supports were lifting a foot off the ground and slamming back again.  Mmmhmm, sure honey.
So I drove the 13 miles home.  Guess what?  THE ROOF WAS IN THE FRONT YARD! 

 
A microburst came through the area.  While I sat at work in Casa Grande in the sunshine, Maricopa was being hammered with winds in excess of 60mph.  And to make matters worse, we now had no electricity or phone service.  What was I going to do without Internet access?
Hubby and I cleaned up our yard and went to survey the damage at our daughter's house around the corner.  She had two big trees uprooted but no other damage. Many neighbors lost trees, sheds and parts of roofs.  ... more
