Too Many Requests = Happy Stress
I'm back from a week's vacation to Emerald Isle with my family.  It was a blast, and the kids loved playing in the surf.  Digging up mole crabs (sand fleas to some of you folks) and coquina clams was a blast as well!
And now I'm back, and it's full throttle as if we never took a day off. Wow!  I'm a little overwhelmed and trying to work through the back log.  I did respond to some inquiries over the vacation, but mostly to existing business.
But it it a little stressful, and I will certainly have enough work to carry me the rest of the week already!  And our workers are already scheduled into next week.
That got me thinking, I should feel enormously blessed instead of stressed.  Some in my industry (home improvements) are out of business, or on the edge of it.  But we've always had enough to keep going.
So I'm trying to feel blessed!  But I still feel stressed!  I don't like telling folks they'll have to wait, but sometimes I do.  And I think our customers respect that.  I certainly wouldn't make an emergency wait, we'd move them up to the front of the list!  ... more
