Today is the start of Restaurant Week here in San Diego with over 180 restaurants participating. One of those that is participating happens to have the best Louisiana Cajun & Creole food in San Diego, so if you haven't been to Mardi Gras or Southern Decadence in a while and have a craving for some good Louisiana food, head on over to
Bud's Louisiana Cafe4320 Viewridge Avenue

Longtime residents of San Diego will recognize many of the menu items and staff from similar Louisiana restaurants owned by Bud and formerly located downtown and in Little Italy.
They have Abita beer imported from Louisiana, and the jalapeno muffins are worth buying an extra dozen to take home with you. I've eaten at Bud's Louisiana Cafe many times and have yet to find a favorite menu item because everything I've tried has been excellent.
