Lexington Irmo Lake Murray Real Estate Update 10-29-2010   Book Sale for United Way - The Lexington County Sheriff's Department raised $2,173 for the United Way Campaign by conducting a book sale at the Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts Law Enforcement Complex, 521 Gibson Road, Lexington. The book sale served as the kickoff for our agency's annual fund-raising effort for the United Way. During the book sale, a wide variety of books sold for $1 each. All proceeds from the book sale benefited the United Way Campaign. The book sale is part of an on-going campaign by the Sheriff's Dept. and Lexington County government to raise money for United Way of the Midlands. The book sale and other efforts for the United Way reflect the Sheriff's Dept. mission of providing professional law enforcement services that enhance the quality of life for all people in Lexington County.
