Common Sense Customer Service - does it really matter?
I been thinking about customer service a lot lately. I'm constantly being taken aback in my own personal experiences when dealing with public personnel whom I'm requesting service from and their overall lack of customer service. Customer service is blogged about a lot and it can really stir up a lot of feelings on what is customer service and how to achieve optimum customer service which was written on recently by a great Active Rain blogger, Gary Woltal in Secrets of Customer service.
Wouldn't you think in these tough economic times with unemployment rates at all time highs, that those who relish in a Customer Service driven profession would be going overboard to provide the ultimate customer service experience in order to eliminate the fear of being unemployed? I would think yet, my experiences do not exhibit such behavior. Why is that do you think? Is it arrogance? Is it apathy? What is it? Well, I guess we won't be able to figure out why people do what they do or should I say "don't" do what they should.
