I've started an investors club here in Oregon called, "The Empowered Investor". It's a club with both new and experienced investors.
The wonderful part of this club is that no one criticizes anyone's ideas. In fact, some of my most experienced investors have been very impressed with some of the first time investor ideas. What happens is, with time, investors start to get in a rut and never change what they are doing or how they are doing it.
First time investors, with their thirst for knowledge, can bring new techniques to the table that hasn't been thought of before.
The best part about "The Empowered Investors" club is that is set up as a win-win club for everyone who joins. Most of my long term investors know that the first time investors don't have the capitol, and team up with a first time investor. Together they form a superior investing team. The long time investor has the capital and the new investor has the drive, that in some cases, the long term investor has lost.  Together though, they are making more for each other.
