Grateful Thanksgiving 2010
Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you are able to be with family and/or friends, and find yourself having much to be thankful for.
I am very grateful this year, because my father got great news from two radiologists. He has incurable cancer, and has been battling on & off for about 6 years. Last year he had a major surgery where the doctors thought they got it. Six months later, it had returned, and they determined it was not curable. We just got the news that his chemo treatments appear to be working, and the tumor in his pelvis appears to have dissolved, and the metasticized tumors in his lungs shrunk so much that they have no "metabolic activity".
He gets three months free from chemo, and hopefully blood tests will show he may get more time off from the treatments. This could give us so much more time with him, and for that, I am very thankful.
So this Thanksgiving, I will be giving much thanks for his current health, and hope that this will continue.
