What Do You Do With That Leftover Turkey?
The day was grand...all the family ate all they wanted and got out of there.
You were left with a kitchen that looked like a war zone. You laugh now... but you had earlier been pondering whether you had baked a large enough turkey. God forbid that you run out of turkey while the relatives are filling their plates!
What is left as your tired eyes survey the carnage, is loads of turkey meat left in the platter.
Your stomach is probably telling you that it can't take any more suffering. I know my belly felt like a balloon last night and I wondered if I would ever be hungry again for turkey and all the trimmings!
Now it's a new day and I have white turkey meat in a Ziploc bag just waiting for what is next. How about some breakfast?
Turkey Breakfast: Chop up leftover turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes and form into a pattie. Add a bit of oil in a cast-iron skillet and fry until brown. Serve with a poached egg on top.
