VEGAS BABY ~ ONE WEEK ~ ONE GOAL ~ ONE LIFE!
VEGAS BABY ~ ONE WEEK ~ ONE GOAL ~ ONE LIFE!

By this time next week, I will have completed a half marathon (13.1 miles) in Vegas!  Why is this important you ask?  Well, only 4 months ago I was undergoing an open lung surgery to remove a large tumor in my lung.  I lost a portion of my lower left lung and am still dealing with a few broken ribs.
I signed up for the Vegas Rock-n-Roll race right before my surgery as a goal to get up and out of bed as quickly as possible.  Thankfully, having this goal gave me the will power to take that first step and to slowly begin working my body back into condition. 
YES, it has been very difficult.  YES, it has been extremely painful.  And YES, I am crazy!!!
The bottom line is this, we all face many challenges along the way in life.  Do you choose to tackle those challenges head on or do you allow your subconscious to tell you that you can't do this or you can't do that?
YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TO DO.  Just get UP, take that first step no matter ... more
