For years building lots were being built on and single houses were being torn down to build larger singles and townhomes. In the last year or so somewhat newer duplexes and twins are being torn down to make way for even larger stuctures in Sea Isle City and Avalon. New ordinances in Sea Isle City give landowners less restrictions for density if they build commercial/ retail on the first level. New trends and new ways to build a mousetrap are always evolving at the Jersey Shore.
