Is bad press still good press on ActiveRain?
I am struggling with this issue. There are MANY amazing and wonderful people on here that post heart felt topics, educational posts and the like; then there are those that seem to bitch and complain a lot. Somehow those folks end up getting featured with 100 comments back and forth.
Do they like this kind of "ruffling of the feathers"? Maybe. Would they rather get bombarded with any kind of comment than the good ones? I have also noticed some of these folks are ambassadors. I don't know if that makes any difference. But it would seem that they feed off the banter and get a rush when someone comments no matter what the tone.
I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, and is free to express it. But there are some folks here I just can't subscribe to or comment on. I have a hard time promoting someone whom I have seen other places either being harsh and arrogant or creating blogs discounting the authority of someone else's blog.
I have seen some comments that welcome a heady debate. But I'm not sure that debate for the sake of debate does ... more
