Looking for Suggestions on a Camera for Business and Pleasure
Buying a new camera. Usually not something to reblog about, but this blog post goes deeper than the basic question and also shows Dennis is really doing his homework.
Costco has good prices and a good selection of digital cameras. I find that 18 degrees for the wide angle end of the lens will usually work unless it's a tiny room.
 I was able to find a lens that zooms down to 14 degrees but it wasn't cheap and Costco didn't carry the lens.
I am thinking of buying a new camera.  Based on what I have experienced with my Pentax MX, I made a list of requirements.  The lens I have now is a 5.8mm (30MM) and is not wide enough to capture an entire room.  I use a .5x adapter, taking it to 15MM, which may be a little wide.  Most of the cameras I am looking at are 24MM or 26MM.  Are these wide enough to capture an entire 12 x 12 room?  Which is the size of a small dining room, or bedroom.  Or will I still need an adapter?
