Habitat for Humanity's "ReStore" in Garland
 
Wow, Habitat for Humanity has a "ReStore" store in Garland, just south of Lake Ray Hubbard. Yesterday was my 1st time time there and I must admit I was blown away with all the amazing items they had. Before yesterday, I had driven past it on I-30 everyday to and from my home in Rowlett. I always said ... I wonder whats in there? My step-dad used to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and help build houses but I'd never heard him mention them having a store. Well if you're like me, and have driven past it but never stopped in or didn't know they had a store, let me tell you, you need to pop in!
So what's so great about it you ask. At "ReStore", you can expect to find quality appliances, home furnishings, cabinets, doors, bathroom fixtures, flooring, light fixtures, ceramic tile, and home decorating items. You can also find home improvement items like paint, cleaning supplies, and building materials. In the Garland store, they also have furniture like desks, beds, ect. All of their items are about 50-75% less than what you'd find at the major Home Improvement stores. The majority of their items are donated by Home Builders, ... more
