We've Come A LONG Way in Real Estate in Southern New Hampshire.
Does anyone remember in the 80's when there was a big book that was disseminated to the real estate agent/office once a month from the multiple listing service.
This book was printed & published in black and white AND was only available to you if you were part of MLS. It was the only thing available for searching for the "perfect" home for your buyer.  
The only hitch was that the book was a month old.  If someone happened to be driving around the neighborhood and saw the sign, bought the house, then it was SOLD before the book came out!  In other words, if you had a brand new listing that came out at the beginning of the month when the book had already been published, your seller had to wait a month before they actually got some showings!
Oh, if you were considered a "good" agent, you would get on the phone and call all around to the other offices and tell them about your new listing that just hit the market. Forget about working remotely - no computers, no internet, no remote internet phone service, ... more
