Your Home on the San Francisco Peninsula: Wende’s Tour by the Bay
For Homes on the San Francisco Peninsula Tuesday is tour day in San Mateo County.  The tour is sponsored by 2 realtor boards, San Mateo County Association of Realtors, and SILVAR, Silicon Valley Association of Realtors.  The SAMCAR tour for today, January 18, 2011, included 200 residential listings with substantially less homes for sale than on last week’s tour. In Wende’s Home on the San Francisco Peninsula Select Cities it was much the same story.  In Atherton both homes on tour were newly listed, though both had been previously for sale at higher prices without selling in the previous year and are currently offered at  $2,189,000  and $7,995,000 .  In Menlo Park there were a total of 10 single homes and townhouses/condos, 5 of which were new on the market, though 1 of the 5 had shown up briefly in 2010.  The lowest price was $450,000 and highest was $4,750,000.  Portola Valley was without any homes on tour for the second week in a row, and Redwood City only had 17 listings, 6 of which were new, with prices again ranging from $189,900-$2,595,000.  13 properties,  4 of which were first tours, were in San Carlos and priced between $450,000 and $1,199,950. ... more
