The Charles Cinema in Lake Charles, LA  has been For Sale for over 2 years by several real estate brokers. As a matter the of fact  the cinema is located on Sale Road!  The current listing shows this property as 194 days on the market.
I have wondered why this prime piece of real estate has not sold yet with its excellent South Lake Charles  location.  Currently listed for $1,500,000 many investors have been scared off by the extensive remodeling that would need to be done to revamp and return the Charles Cinema to its original grandeur and still see a return on investment.

Once a 3 three screen theater in South Lake Charles, the Charles Cinema building has  boarded up and in disrepair since Hurricane Rita hit in 2005.  Now the building is undergoing asbestos abatement and will be torn down.
