The importance of work-space
I am sitting by my desk, getting ready to get organized for today's chores - facing me are three large windows, making this room a cozy and warm part of the now cold outdoors.  I am overjoyed in seeing squirrels play, birds trying to make ends meet and trees all around swaying in the morning breeze. All in all this is an exceptionally pleasant view - a view that makes me want to sit by my desk and a view which will make even the most dreaded work days pleasurable and a view which helps in achieving my daily goals. I know am lucky!
I believe that a work place should not be a cubicle with fluorescent light cheating your body’s senses; it should not be a cold space without personality and it certainly should not be a place that will not inspire. Too many of us sit behind desks each day, facing a partition wall – just consider what this does to our thoughts?
The short of it that our work space – a space where we spend a big part of our lives – should be inviting, pleasant, well lit and full of personality. It must be comfortable and inspiring ... more
