Like The Weather, Addison Political Races Heat Up.
Due to term limits, current Addison Texas mayor Joe Chow is unable to serve another term.  Two candidates (so far) have announced their intention to run to replace him.  Former Addison Councilman and Mayor Pro Tempore Don Daseke recently resigned his council seat to run for mayor.  He will face former Addison Councilman Todd Meier who stepped down from the council 2 years ago to run, unsuccessfully, against Mayor Chow.
There are also 3 seats on the town council to be filled; the vacancy created by Don Daseke's departure from the council, plus the seats currently held by Bianca Noble and Blake Clemens.  Ms. Noble will not run for a second term, but Mr. Clemens has filed to run.  Two others who have filed to run for council are Bruce Arfsten and Chris DeFrancisco. Paperwork must be submitted by close of business on March 14th to appear on the ballot.
The election is May 14th. Early voting begins May 2nd. 
You can't vote unless you are registered.  And you shouldn't complain if you don't vote.
