Friends of the Barnegat Library Present Eleanor Roosevelt
The Friends of the Ocean County Library, Barnegat Branch, is celebrating Women’s History Month on March 8th, with Rene Goodwin’s first person interpretation of Eleanor Roosevelt. Goodwin, of the American Historical Theater in Philadelphia, has developed an interpretation covering Roosevelt’s first 55 years.  It’s a story of the first lady’s life, filled with first hand involvement in fascinating historic events. Eleanor Roosevelt was not only the wife of the 31st President; she was a stateswoman, and a tireless advocate of women’s and children’s rights. The Eleanor Roosevelt program is scheduled on March 8th at 6:30 pm in the Meeting Room of the Barnegat Library, 112 Burr Street in Barnegat.   Admission is free, but pre registration is requested.  Register online for the Friends of the Barnegat Library program, or stop by the Library. The mission of the Friends of the Library, Barnegat Branch is to create public interest in the library, fostering public support for the Barnegat Library, and to help the Library’s endeavors to meet the needs of the community.   THIS PROGRAM IS OFFERED THROUGH THE HORIZONS SPEAKERS BUREAU OF THE NEW JERSEY COUNCIL FOR THE HUMANITIES, A STATE PARTNER OF THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE HUMANITIES.
