Buyers demand commission rebate because they made it easy for agent when they walked in open house
Buyers walked into the open house. Liked it. Asked agent to write offer for them.
But in the course of writing offer, they said they'd like a percentage of the agent's commissions since they "made it easy for the agent" when they walked into the open house. They think the agent doesn't have to work any more to find a buyer.
Going by that logic of making it easy for the salesperson if the buyers simply walk in...
So, if I go to Home Depot, I can ask the sales clerk to rebate part of her salary to me since she doesn't have to work too hard to find a buyer?
Or if I go see a dentist...i can ask the dentist to rebate part of her fees since she didn't have to leave her office. I simply walked in, making it easier for her to work on me as a patient.
If I asked my manicurist to give me back some of the money she earns, or instead of tipping her, I asked her to give me a tip --- after all, I walked into her salon ---I may be thrown out!
