Price Per Sq Ft Growth for El Dorado County Since January 2001 The following graph shows the price per square foot growth for El Dorado County since January 2001 verses the residential resale inventory for the same time periods.  Compared to January 2001, our price per square foot figures are still up 5.26%. Price per square foot peaked in January 2006 and July 2006 at $260 and as of January 2011 that figure was $137. 
Inventory was much lower in the years of steady growth and though not as low as those years still lower than the peak years of 2006 -2007. For sale inventory peaked in El Dorado County in August 2007 at 1783 and in January 2011 was roughly 53% of that at 943.
Keep in mind that El Dorado County encompases El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, and all the areas to the east along the Highway 50 corridor to and including South Lake Tahoe.
