Salt Lake City Infrared Home Inspection Uncovers What Was Long Ago Covered
On nearly every Utah Infrared Home Inspection I preform, I identify numerous things that would have gone un-noticed without the use of an infrared camera. The use of thermal imaging has proved to be such a huge asset in providing a quality home inspection that I refuse to offer home inspection services without it.
It's unfortunate all home inspectors aren't using infrared cameras because no matter how good the inspector, many things simply cannot be seen without infrared technology.
During this Salt Lake City Infrared Home Inspection, I noticed a large thermal anomoly on the wall the very second I walked downstairs. It was standing out like a soar thumb in infrared but appeared like a normal wall to the naked eye.


It was clear that there was a fireplace behind the sheetrock wall. I asked the owners about the existing fireplace and they had no knowledge of it's presence even after having lived there for over 4 years. The owners were surprised to learn of it's prescence but now understood why the downstairs living room was always colder than the other rooms. TO BAD ... more
