Farm Animals in Austin
We found something unexpected on the Austin Funky Chicken Coop Tour this past weekend.
For those of you who missed it - there were 20 homes with backyard coops on for this year, the second year of the tour, spread out all the way from 183 and Anderson Lane all the way down to South Austin.
We had friends on the tour and they recorded 650 visitors in 6 hours - they were flat out exhausted by the time we saw them, and they looked like it was time to kick back and put their feet up.
The unexpected thing we found was actually two things - a pair of goats in a backyard just north of 51st (North of the Mueller Redevelopment area).
Only one would pose, so here she is for your viewing pleasure.


 

Oh, and we noted that a visitor to our blog this past week was looking to see if chickens were permitted in Steiner Ranch!
