Eco-Friendly Outdoor Designs
Here in the Atlanta area, we love Springtime.  For the most part, this Spring has been delightful and Atlantans have thrown open their doors and streamed into the sights, sounds and smells of a most beautiful season.  More of us are adapting an eco-friendly lifestyle, and are bringing that sensibility to the outdoors.  The market has responded by providing outdoor furniture that serves our need to be green.  Here are a few tips for buying environmentally friendly outdoor furniture:
 - Durability - Metal furniture is great for durability, and because of its added rustproof attributes, aluminum is an eco-friendly choice.  Durability means a longer time to recycle and reduce waste, and aluminum can be recycled!  Rattan is another good choice because every bit of the fast-growing vine is used, and no trees are cut down.
 - Source - If it is wood furniture you want, check the source, see where it was grown and if it is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.  The council promotes the responsible management of forests worldwide, and it certifies wood from suppliers with managed plantations or forests.  National companies such as Home Depot, Target, Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn carry FSC certified wood products.
