The Gift of Touch
Recently we were in Sam's club and they had a display of flowers in small pots and people would come to it and touch the leaves. They looked so nice, but somehow people thought that they were fake plants.
And they were live.
My wife does not have a green thumb. So, when I saw orchids in every room, I was absolutely sure they were fake. They were so perfect, that they simply could not be live.
Imagine my surprise, when I saw her watering them.

We are getting better and better at competing with nature, we are getting more sophisticated, and we can now create another reality, which is so perfect, that it is like real, and it is nearly impossible to tell...
And what do we do when in doubt? We touch. A cool leaf can't lie, and we know that it is live...
You see, touch is so important to us...
We are living and working between the virtual and physical worlds. We spend more and more time in the virtual one... but at the end of the day we need another human being to hold our hand... because we are humans. Because touch means live...
